TOKYO--Namco and Monolithsoft will bring their popular PlayStation 2 sci-fi role-playing game Xenosaga to the small screen in Japan. To air on the Asahi TV network beginning in January 2005, the anime program will be titled Xenosaga the Animation and will be based on the first installment of the Xenosaga trilogy, Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht.
Some of the more noteworthy creative staff behind the project includes character designer Nobuteru Yuki (Record of Lodoss War), mech designer Hiroyuki Taiga (F-Zero: Falcon densetsu, Beast Wars Transformers), and director Shigeyasu Yamauchi (Ojamajo Doremi, Knights of the Zodiac). The series will be produced by Toei Animation.
게임스팟에 실린 기사인데요, 2005년 1월에 아사히 방송에서 제노사가 애니메이션을 방영한다는군요. 애니메이션은 제노사가 에피소드 1: Der Wille zur Macht의 스토리를 기반으로 한다는군요. 캐릭터 디자이너는 노부테루 유키 (로도스도 전기 OVA, 에스카플로네, 히트가이 J), 메카 디자이너는 히로유키 타이카 (F-Zero 팔콘전설, 비스트워즈 트랜스포머), 그리고 감독은 시게야스 야마우치 (오자마녀 도레미, 성투사성시) 라는군요.
상당히 기대가 갑니다. 음, 애니 보고 네타를 당하지 않기 위해서라도 제노사가1을 클리어해야 할지도... 근데 노부테루 유키가 캐릭터 디자인을 맡은건 좋은데 그 에스카플로네/히트가이 J 같은 높은코를 가진 시온과 코스모스는 절대 사절입니다 >_>
